Big Red
When playing craps, this is betting on any seven
Bones
Another name for the dice. Thought to originate from Roman times where pig bones were shaped
and thrown into upturned shields to entertain the centurions
Box Cars
When the Shooter rolls two 6’s
Crapped Dice
Crooked dice
Come Out or Coming Out
This is the first roll of the dice in a round of craps betting. Bets on the Pass Line on a
craps table win when the Come Out is 7 or 11 and lose when it’s Craps (2, 3 or 12)
Come Point
This is the same as Point on the first throw of the dice but applies after the Come Out roll.
With a Come Bet, you win if your Come Point is rolled before a 7
Craps
The numbers 2, 3 and 12.
Craps Out
Rolling the number 2, 3 or 12 on the first roll
Midnight
Betting that a double 6 will roll next
Natural
Rolling a 7 or 11
Pass Line
Area of the craps table where you make a Pass Line Bet.
Puck
This is a device for people to track the game. The dealer places the puck white side up on the
Point number where it stays until Point is made or the Shooter sevens out. The puck is then
moved to the Don’t Come area and turned black side up. Black side showing means a Come Out roll
is about to happen.
Rolling Craps
Rolling 2, 3 or 12 on the Come Out roll. See also Craps Out.
Shooter
The player that rolls the dice.
